Academic Leadership Services

The AOA is a Community of Leaders.  Among those leaders are Academic Faculty, Department Chairs and Program Directors who together form a unique segment or niche.  This group requires a structure and network to support their unique needs.

The AOA is the home for academic leaders with nearly 200 Department Chairs and Program Directors. The AOA is committed to offering Academic Leaders access to a community of their peers for the exchange of ideas and presentation of timely, relevant information.

• Academic Leadership Resources, including presentations from "Resident Selection and Recruitment - How Best to Recruit the Next Generation of Orthopaedic Surgeons," presented during the Program Directors Forum, and "Gen Xers and Millennials: Sociology and Strategy for New Residents and Faculty," presented during the Department Chairs' Lunch, both at the AOA's 120th Annual Meeting, June 2007.
