Academic Leadership New Resident Evaluation Tools
The ACGME has mandated that Graduate Medical Education programs develop tools to assess residents in the six core competencies. The AOA's Educational Process, Outcomes and Assessments Committee developed and assessed outcome tools for use in orthopaedic residency programs.
The Committee believes that using the same assessment tools, instead of individually developing separate assessment tools, will enable programs to more uniformly assess orthopaedic residents.
