The ASEAN Traveling Fellowship was created by the ASEAN Orthopaedic Association. In 1992, two fellows were selected by the ASEAN Orthopaedic Association to tour the US. The group of six fellows includes one from each of the Southeast Asian countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The Tour is annual and concludes with the fellows attending the AOA Annual Meeting.

The AOA does not send orthopaedists on an exchange tour.
