Orthopaedic Institute of Medicine (OIOM) The overall objective of the Orthopaedic Institute of Medicine (OIOM) initiative is to provide focused, in-depth, unbiased education, information, and recommendations on issues critical to the profession of orthopaedics and the care of patients with musculoskeletal disease or injury and that also impact other disciplines/specialties and/or healthcare providers. The initiative will rely on experts with a variety of perspectives, training, and positions who have knowledge and experience on topics of interest.
