Eligibility Criteria for AOA Membership

The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) is a Community of Leaders. AOA members are leaders in the Orthopaedic community.

Membership Process Overview
Nominations for Membership open, typically, toward the end of June and close, typically, at the beginning of September. Current AOA members must nominate a candidate and must have it seconded by another AOA member. The Membership Committee then beings the candidate review process, which ends with the slate of new members decided on at the AOA's Annual Meeting. New Candidates are then notified, announced in the Winter AOA News, and inducted as a member at the following Annual Meeting.
Nominations for the AOA Membership Class of 2011 have been extended through September 13.  Please  Nominate an Orthopaedic leader.
