The AOA membership process is highly selective. AOA members
nominate candidates according to their achievements in
orthopaedics. Each nominee must be seconded by another AOA
member.
The AOA membership participates in a Candidate Review Process
and the slate of proposed members is voted on by the membership at
the AOA Annual Meeting.
Candidates are notified, featured in the winter AOA
News, and are inducted at the following Annual Meeting.
