e-Institute courses are compatible with a variety of devices: PC, laptop, or tablet (Android tables are not officially supported. If you have problems, please move to a PC or an iPad). You will be able to track your progress through each course, enabling you to exit and pick up where you left off at a later time.

e-Institute features online learning products from The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) that develop important leadership skills.

NOTE: AOA e-Institute courses may work on some Android devices. However, Android devices are not officially supported at this time. If you experience technical difficulties while using an Android device, you may wish to switch to a PC or iPad.
You will find a list of all e-Institute courses that you have purchased in "My AOA" under the "My e-Institute" tab. Complete the following steps to access the course's content modules:
Select your course from the "My e-Institute" tab.
It will take you to the e-Institute.
Under the "My Courses" tab, locate the desired activity and click the Launch button.
From the Modules tab, click the activity title to expand the section. Then click the Launch button.
Follow the instructions provided to complete the module's content.
You may leave and return to a course at any time whether you have completed it or not. The instructions to return to a course are as follows:
1. Go to the AOA website (http://www.aoassn.org) and log in using your e-mail and password.
2. Click the "My AOA" tab.
3. Under "My e-Institute, click on the desired course title.
4. You'll be taken to the e-Institute.
5. From the "My Courses" tab, locate the desired activity and click the "Launch" button.
6. Your course will automatically resume where you left off. You have the option to restart the course from the beginning.
You will know whether you have completed a course by checking the status progress indicator found next to the course title.
Some content modules include an assessment to evaluate your learning. After you have completed the module's content, you can access the assessment if one is assigned. There are two different places from where you can access the Module Assessment:
Click the Take Module Assessment link in the upper-right corner of the content launch screen OR
Click the Take Module Assessment button from the Modules tab.
After you have accessed the Module Assessment, follow the instructions provided to complete it.
NOTE: In some cases, you may need to pass the assessment with a specific score in order to complete the activity.
The AOA requests your feedback based on your course experience.to help us improve future AOA courses. Responses are kept confidential.
Evaluations are only available after you've completed all the course components (i.e., content module, assessment--if assigned). Check your status progress indicator for the course to ensure that you have completed all of the required components.
You can launch the evaluation by clicking the Course Survey button from Modules tab in the List of Activities title bar.
Your certificate of completion will be available after you have submitted your Course Evaluation. Access your certificate by clicking the "Print Certificate" button from the Modules tab in the List of Activities title bar.
Certificates are created as PDF files and are opened within your web browser. To print your certificate, either press CTRL+P on your keyboard, or select File > Print in your browser.
You may access a list of all your purchased courses within the e-Institute (not under "My AOA") by clicking on the E-Transcript icon in the Training Menu toolbar on the right-hand side.
A printable version of all your courses will display. If you have completed a course, a link to a PDF version of your certificate will also be provided.
Some courses have related documents for your use. To access these documents, click the Tools/Project Documents icon in the Training Menu toolbar. From there, select the documents you wish to download.
