As a leadership organization, the AOA coordinates logistics for
the AOA Traveling Fellowships. Host institutions have a significant
impact on the success of the fellowship and providing a compelling
experience for the selected fellows.
Host responsibilities vary from fellowship to fellowship, but
share some basic obligations:
- Coordinate academic and social programs for visiting Fellows
during 2-3 days at your institution
- Provide housing for the visiting Fellows
- Provide meals for the visiting Fellows
- Coordinate ground transportation logistics for Fellows from/to
the nearest airport (Note: air transportation is not a Host's
responsibility)
In addition to the practical considerations, host
responsibilities include planning experiences that will create both
professional and personal memories.
