AOA Annual Leadership Meeting sites are selected 3-5 years in advance of the event. Factors influencing site selection include number of attendees, space availability, venue accessibility, air fare and hotel costs, room availability for additional meetings, and social activity options within close proximity of the venue.
AOA negotiates and signs contracts well in advance of meeting dates to obtain lower costs and other meeting concessions. Meeting changes or program cancellations will result in AOA incurring substantial financial penalties assessed by the venue and/or hotel.
