The eSLOR allows for a standard display of the credentials of the letter writer, the degree of involvement between the applicant and the letter writer, and an ability to select answers to questions that are mapped to the 6 ACGME core competencies.

Universal Interview Offer Day
AOA’s Council of Orthopaedic Residency Directors (CORD) recommends all CORD member programs participate in the Universal Interview Offer Day for the 2024-2025 Orthopaedic Residency Match process on November 18, 2024 at 12:00pm ET.

If an applicant declines/does not respond by Thursday, November 21, 12:00pm ET, the program may extend an invitation to another applicant.

The Orthopaedic Residency Information Network (ORINTM) functions as a central portal of information about all CORD-member orthopaedic surgery residency programs across the United States. Medical students can use this tool to explore orthopaedic surgery residency programs. Programs can use this tool to highlight program information, strengths, and opportunities.

Signaling allows applicants a reliable and equitable approach to demonstrate a sincere interest in specific residency programs. Residency programs may choose to consider signals as they select applicants to interview.  This process is intended to add value to both applicants and programs, resulting in a more equitable, reproducible, efficient, and mutually optimal Match.
