Session Overview:

This 90 minute webinar entitled, “Strategic Career Transitions in Orthopaedics,” will focus on the AOA Leadership Principle of Envision. Mary Mulcahey, MD, FAOA  will serve as the content developer and Co-Facilitator of the 2026 Leadership Institute, and will be joined by AOA Members and Co-Facilitators: Gregg Nicandri, MD, FAOA, Matthew Schmitz, MD, FAOA, and Norah Foster, MD for this outstanding virtual program offering.

This webinar will focus on key considerations for orthopaedic surgeons navigating career changes and evaluating new professional opportunities. It will explore the factors influencing career transitions, including timing, personal and professional goals, and evolving practice environments.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify key factors to consider when evaluating a strategic career transition in orthopaedics
  2. Discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning practices to pursue new professional roles
