The American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) is pleased to announce CORD Advantage, an AOA program focused on supporting leadership development, professional growth, and career advancement within orthopaedic education and training. The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) joins as the inaugural partner organization in this important initiative to support the next generation of orthopaedic leaders.
Invest in the Future of Your Specialty
The future of every orthopaedic subspecialty depends on engaging today’s residents.
The American Orthopaedic Association’s new CORD Advantage program provides orthopaedic subspecialty societies the ability to provide curated, specialty-specific educational materials to orthopaedic residents, PGY 1-5 and build meaningful relationships with orthopaedic residents through direct professional engagement
Why This Matters
Most residents don’t engage with subspecialty societies until fellowship or early practice, missing years of valuable mentorship, networking, and education. With the support of residency program leadership, CORD Advantage bridges this gap by introducing residents to subspecialty societies earlier in their careers through trusted educational programming and meaningful engagement. The AOA will communicate with subspecialty society for CORD Advantage partnerships and promote the selected content to the CORD community, which contains 95% of all orthopaedic residency program leadership.
Together, we can strengthen the future of orthopaedics by creating connections that begin during residency and continue throughout a surgeon’s career.
