- Eligibility for Expedited Pathway to AOA Membership: For Emerging Leaders who have 4 years in clinical practice by December 31 of the nomination year, eligibility to apply for AOA membership after 4 years of consecutive Emerging Leader membership and two years of the AOA Emerging Leaders Forum and/or Annual Leadership Meeting participation during that 4-year period.
- For those Emerging Leaders who are eligible for the AOA Expedited Pathway to membership, self-nomination is encouraged and a request for assistance to identify nominators can be made.

About Letters of Recommendation
**Letters of Recommendation are waived for applicants who are a:
- Resident Leadership Forum nominee
- AAOS/OREF/ORS Clinician Scholar Career Development Program past nominee or participant
- AOA | USC APEX Cohort Member or Alumni
- OTB Program Champion
- CORD Program Affiliate

Eligibility
Any orthopaedic leader may become an AOA Emerging Leader between their PGY5 and 10th year in clinical practice.
Automatically Eligible
- Resident Leadership Forum nominee
- AAOS/OREF/ORS Clinician Scholar Career Development Program past nominee or participant
- AOA | USC APEX Leadership Certificate Program Cohort Member or Alumni
- Own The Bone Program Champion
Dues Information
- $300 per year for Emerging Leaders in clinical practice.
- $150 per year for fellows and those on active military duty.
- $0 per year for residents.
